East Lothian Junior Golf Fun Competitions Order of Merit
Throughout the 2019 season Junior Golfers from across East Lothian took part in 9 Junior Golf Fun Competitions that counted towards an overall Order of Merit.
Points were awarded to players for placing in the top 5 in each competition as well as points for attending to encourage participation throughout the season. Prizes were awarded at each competition for the winner in each division, 2s, nearest the pin and best team scores.
Congratulations to Joseph Armstrong (Musselburgh Old GC) who topped the 2019 Junior Golf Order of Merit Handicap Division and beat Louise Martin (Gullane) into a close second. Joseph has shown great commitment to his golf this season, attending all 9 events and winning 7:9!
Putting in a strong performance in the Non Handicap Division was Murray Bowsher (Haddington GC) who came 1st in the Non Handicap Division beating Rebecca Wilson (North Berwick GC) into a close second.
Well done to the below 12 players who obtained the most points in the Order of Merit this season and have qualified for a Prize Winners Clinic. Details of the clinic will be sent directly to these players in due course:
Many thanks to all the parents, guardians and grandparents that helped walk groups round the courses to help with rules and keeping score. Thanks also to our local clubs and professionals for hosting our events and giving juniors the opportunity to meet fellow juniors from across East Lothian.

We had a great turnout of 22 juniors and perfect conditions for our final order of merit event at North Berwick Children’s Course on Saturday. Results below and full breakdown can be found in the final order of merit link above.
