Earlier this week Football Development held the annual 7 a-side John Home Robertson tournament at Meadowmill Sports Centre.
The tournament consisted of five P7 girls teams and eight P7 boys teams which all played each other in a bid to put their schools name on the trophy. Blessed with sunshine the schools put in a fantastic effort to compete and pleased the many parents and staff there on the day.
Burgh Primary had won all their games and beat Campie Primary in the last game, crowning them this years girl’s champions.
Cockenzie had a few end to end games but the wins were never in doubt, scoring a total of 15 goals and only conceding 1, Cockenzie Boy’s went on to lift the trophy.
A big thanks to the schools, staff and referees on the day which made the day possible and a great experience for the players to participate.
