Spotlight Volunteer Award Win For Mrs Orsi

Congratulations on your award !

mrs orsi

Above is Jade Hall (Sport & Physical Activity Coordinator for Musselburgh Grammar) presenting Mrs Orsi with the award

Mrs Orsi deserves to be recognised for a Spotlight Award due to the outstanding service and commitment she has provided to Musselburgh Grammar School, Active Schools Extra- Curricular Badminton club.

Mrs Orsi, also a teacher at Musselburgh Grammar School has given up her time to run weekly Badminton sessions, for the last 16 years, where on average 30-40 pupils have been attending weekly. In doing so she provided a safe place for pupils at Musselburgh Grammar School to learn new skills, develop performance, partake in competition, meet new friends, socialise and most importantly have FUN!

In this time Mrs Orsi has also been a mentor to many senior pupils, university students and volunteer coaches, supporting them in their coaching journey and giving them the skillset, confidence and experience to deliver their own sessions. Mrs Orsi's dedication to the Badminton club as a whole is second to none and because of her, Badminton has been and is a roaring success for all involved.

She truly is an inspiration!

Fantastic work, well deserved!
