Dunbar P5 gain Bikeability Level 1

Children now safe on the road

Bikeability

Through the partnership working between Active Schools and Sustaining Dunbar, Active Schools were able to offer Bikeability Level 1 to students in P5 in the Dunbar Primary Cluster. In total 14 children signed up and 9 achieved the level 1 qualification

The level 1 qualification was set out for children who weren’t comfortable on a bike with most schools offering Level 2 Bikeability during curriculum time. It is important that children who don’t feel comfortable on a bike were given the chance to up skill so that they will be more assured on a bike when it comes to completing their level 2 Bikeability.

Active Schools would like to take this opportunity to thank Sustaining Dunbar for providing their staff to take the Bikeability sessions. This partnership keeps going from strength to strength, year after year.
